WALA the meaning of each star and setting goals related to the stars.
Today i set goals for the Maori New Year and put alot of heart into it.
I Would want you all to set goals for yourself and try your best to achieve it.
I Learnt a lot about matariki and what tales from other Maori tribe think about it.

My Narrative Story - Nightmares Come True -Suicide Forest

My Narrative Writing!

I Made this Last year, So don't judge me >.<

One hot sunny day at Northwest High School there were 4 students that weren't like the rest their names were Dustin Miller, Sam Williams , Kyla Jane Taylor & Lily Wilson.
They lived on  Martin Road in Canada.
At Northwest High School  Dustin & Sam Were The Captains for the School BasketBall Team.

While Lily & Kyla were the Captains for the Cheerleading squad.

The 4 students were the best of friends.
It was summer Break and the Gang wanted to do something for the summer break so they decided to go camping.

So they went to Paraki Spring Heights Camping Area where there lots of  Animals and New Nature to explore.

Dustin’s Mom dropped them off and they waved good bye as they walked through the entrance.
They Brought food & Water so they wouldn’t get hungry or thirsty on their camping trip.

Sam,Dustin,Kyla & Lily were walking through the forest when they all tripped over a steep hill and fell down the mountainside. They were dizzy & cold. Dustin got up He saw its was getting late. He looked around  & he saw a Spooky Abandoned House it was covered with Dead bushes,Dead trees Crows looking at  you with their dark night eyes. Dustin said we should stay their for the night and get some rest. Sam Agreed but Kyla & Lily said we should look for another way back home. They argued for while until they came to an agreement. They All agreed that it was getting late and they needed a place to sleep because its not safe to sleep in the middle of nowhere. So they headed to the Abandoned House. They knocked on the door and the door just opened like the cold winded brushed against it.  When they walked inside , seeing flickering Lights,Broken Floors,Holes in the walls,Ripped Wallpaper,Dusty Beds & Died rats. They went through the 4 rooms and they chose their Rooms & they all Had no Windows so the Cold Wind blow against their face when they slept.

Lily Waked up because of the noisy roof kept her up. Dustin tried to get a Phone Signal to Call his Mom to pick them up. Kyla Woke up because she felt hands grab up and keep her still on the Bed . Sam was lucky because he was about to go to the Dusty Kitchen so she helped her up.

Lily was afraid to go to sleep , she didn’t want to stay 1 more minute so she asked Kyla if she can sleep with her for tonight but Kyla was in the corner shaking with fear. Her eyes were red like fire & around her eyes with purple  lines like she hasn’t slept for days maybe weeks. So Lily carried Kyla to Sam’s room where they slept.

In the morning Dustin  was up walking around with a bat in his hand.Kyla told him to sit down and have a snack. While he was eating he started to feel calm & chill. Sam was in bed. Sam was dreaming a horrible dream where he saw that their in grave danger and they needed to leave before it’s too late. Sam got up and walked slowly. He heard something on his right he saw a dark figure walking towards him. So he got the bat that Dustin was holding and started swing but the dark figure was still walking towards him so he ran to Lily,Kyla & Dustin and told them their was something in the hallway. When they went out to look their was nothing there. Dustin said that Sam has gone completely crazy. But sam knew that he wasn’t going completely crazy he knew that their was something there and he knew that they’re in grave danger. Kyla went outside to get some air when she saw something in the grass, she saw a little boy running through the grass she told him to come here but he kept on running she went after him trying to make him he stopped running. He turned about he said in a deep scary voice run leave this place before it’s too late. Kyla ran for her life she was crying once she reached the house she ran to sam and said “you were right their is something wrong with this house I want to leave”. Dustin and Lily looked at each other thinking what happened did she see something weird outside or did she go crazy to.

They both were worried but they had no choice to stay here until Dustin's mom comes and Picks them up tomorrow. Dustin was washing the dishes when he saw someone on the broken swings in the back he went to open the door when the little kid lifted. He went to open the door but the door was locked so he went through the back he saw something near the record player dancing. He went to look through the other window but he lifted. He ran back inside and saw a little boy running around. He ran into Lily’s Room Dustin saw his shoes so he opened the cupboard and the little boy frightened him and ran out. Dustin remembered  that the song that was playing was called tip toe throught the tulips was an old song that was made by Tiny Tim. He  lived in a house where he grew tulips and he had a son Named Dan he loved to play hide and seek & loved to run through the tulips. One faithful day his Parents were fighting when the father killed the Mother & killed Dan. The father was miserable so he killed himself to be with his family. And the house was haunted ever since.  Dustin told Lily but she knew that this house was haunted when she went for a walk she saw a women sitting near a lake singing “ Rockabye baby in the treetops when the wind blows the cradle will rock. Then she stopped singing and pointed at her and she showed her the bones of a baby in her hands. Lily ran to the house where she found Dustin.  Kyla & Sam were sleeping on the couch together. Lily waked them both up to tell them that they are leaving now. Kyla & Sam agreed but they had one problem about that. How are they getting home they can’t call dustin’s mom to pick them up. Lily & Dustin were thinking hard & Long but they had nothing all they can do is stay in the house and wait until tomorrow. Kyla woke up screaming so Sam got her a glass of water to calm her down she felt something and saw something grabbing on to her. It had a blood red face with nightmare eyes and sharp nails & Sharp teeth.

She woke up again at 3:00am she stayed up for a while and the time was still 3:00am it was strange. She wiped her eyes as she did that she saw something near the door she tried to get sam or dustin or Lily to wake up but they didn’t until Lily waked up and Kyla pointed near the edge of the door Lily stood up and went over to check nothing was their. Kyla said “ Its right there” “it’s right there” the door slammed shut they tried to get out but it was sealed shut Dustin & Sam woke up and tried to get them lose. It finally had opened. And Kyla was crying with fear & Horror. She didn’t want to stay she wanted to go home and see her family.  So they slept till the morning. Sam still was scared to sleep so he walked around for a bit until he was tired. Dustin was holding a bat in his hand to make sure that the dark figure doesn’t come back. Kyla keep dreaming about the little boy running through the grass. It still haunts her so she keeps on waking up and went to get a glass of water. Sometimes she wakes up for 2 hours until falling back to sleep. Lily was still afraid of what happened late that night. So they went out at night again and saw a creepy forest called Suicide Forest but they had no way of getting home so they went through the forest. It was very Late and the Moon was rising. Lily tripped in a pond and found a dead head in it and screamed. Then all of a sudden lots of Yellow eyes lit up and they started running and fell into a bush near a hole field of dead bodies where some kind of figure looking at them in a cave. And they slowly turned around and saw a ghost with a knife and ran where there was light but it was all an illusion and came back to the dead falling apart house.  So they slept again until sun raised.

But all went horrible again and everything in the house was ripped apart. The lights went off and on again and again, and Lily blanket was tugged off her and kept waking up where she saw a ghost watching her but fell asleep. 10 minutes later Kyla cried because she thought that all of them were going to die and She cried until the morning sky shined. she was happy to leave the horrible house and go home. So they packed up and left. They were walking for 5 hours until the found the Path the the entrance of Paraki Spring Heights Camping Area. They finally was off and they went home. Kyla,Lily,Sam & Dustin spended the last 4 weeks of the holidays playing games,Talking to friends & going places with their families. They were happy to be home. But legends has it that the house still lives on and waiting for the next people to find the house. And make it the worst camping trip of their lives.

Leadership Workshop - Leadership Group!

Today was Leadership Workshop, it was funny,hilarious,exciting & very enjoyable. we learnt about different leaders and their backgrounds.

Mr Malo talked about his background about being a leader and the consistency he has to put in and the sacrifices he did to become a leader and become a representative.
Being a leader is hard, we make mistakes but we learn from them. our strengths can build on other people's strengths, guide them to do better and help them learn more and do more.

Being a leader can help you learn more and help more people to accomplish there dreams and inspire people to achieve their destined passion. Leaders are people who have shown leadership,teamwork & been constant to there goal. Leaders are those who take risks just to get more out of things, ones who take up the time just to help people out in things there stuck on or represent there self or there family to do things there afraid of doing. Being a leader is a privilege not a right, a leader is for those who deserve it not the ones who do the right thing just to become a leader and become the complete opposite of what there local people expected her or him to be.

Today/Yesterday I made a Cover for My Favourite Novel Series!
I Love the series so much i already read 3/6 books in the series.
I made a very depth but simple cover for it.

I would recommend the ages of 12 - 19+ to read these books, its very interesting and a good history book for you to learn more about maori culture.
I Loved this book mostly because i am from the tribes in the book and im getting to know more about it in a fun and mystical way.

Tech Reflection - Wood Works - WonderFul Wood :) T2W7

WALT: write a short but understandable and depth reflection about technology today.

Today i was focusing on my design and see if it will work. Mr Grundy said it would work perfectly so i settled into sawing my wood into pieces i need to make my design.

My design was a Old Wooden Piano that holds your jewelry plus it's a cute decoration for your house.
We were given 320cm wood to work with I only needed 260cm of wood to do the piano.

i had to outline it a few times, it was hard because my hand kept shaking while i tried to line in the lines so i could see where i should cut into the wood. it took a good 5 - 8 minutes trying my best to cut into it and cut it off nicely. it was good enough so i had to do the joint in the left over wood. 200cm wood left and only needed 140 so i had to line in the lines so i could cut it.

It was challenging for me to use a saw to cut it since i never have used one. but i tried my best and i did pretty good. I'm hoping to finish it and hoping that i could take it home.

Technology Reflection T2W6 - Wood Works - Making Awesome Things with Wood!

WALT: write a reflection about what we did at technology, we have to write about what we learnt,what we achieved and what we can improve on.

Today I was working on a design I made at Woodworks, we had to design 10 ideas that we would want to make but only choose one for the final design.
The 10 things I choosed was 1 - Plane, 2 - Cat, 3 - Dog, 4 - Car, 5 - Bird, 6 -Helicopter, 7 - Tool Box, 8 - Horse, 9 - Tractor & 10 Piano.
I decided to make the piano and I had to figure out the joints, how long It's going to be and how I make a 320cm wood into a Piano.
I worked on it for 2 weeks until I got all the measurements right and I was happy with the final design.
I learnt that there can be 2 joints and its easy if you use the wood to measure it out.
I wanted to improve on the size because I always looked at it being big so I draw it big. i just need to focus on putting it on the paper.

I really enjoyed my time there and I'm hoping I can do my final design :D
