ReplyDeleteKia ora Paris! Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey blogging programme. It is awesome to see that you've joined us this year. I can see from your post that Huriata is also really pleased that you've joined in:)
ReplyDeleteI hope that you enjoyed learning a bit more about New Zealand in the first day of the programme. There are so many wonderful elements of New Zealand but I think that you have identified three very important aspects - the kindness and warmth of the people, the passion that we have for sport (especially rugby) and the diversity of our population. I moved to New Zealand about 7 years ago and I still amazed by how friendly and lovely the 'kiwis' are. I am also amazed by how committed everyone is to playing rugby and to watching rugby. I grew up in Canada where very few people play rugby so it was a brand new experience for me to live in a country where people spent so much time talking about the game! In Canada, we love to play ice hockey instead...
Have you ever seen an ice hockey game? They can be pretty entertaining but also quite challenging to watch if you don't know the rules.
Well, I hope that you will continue to blog with us over the holiday and learn more about this amazing country that we call home!
See you online again soon (I hope),
Rachel :)
Sounds like you and Huriata are "game on"! - keep posting Paris - looking forward to hearing more from you.
