Mu Torere Experience!!! One of New Zealands Indigenous Games

Today we learnt about a new game called Mu Torere that is indigenous to New Zealand/Aotearoa. It was an amazing, strategizing, thinking and complex game to play but I insist that you try it out for yourself because it will really light up your day.
My Experience with this game was so fantastic, I Loved how competitive everyone was and the fair play it was wicked. I really insist people everywhere to play this game and if you want to know how to play this game
I'll show you how.

  1. Choose a set of points to start from. ...
  2. Put markers onto four of the points of the star.
  3. Your opponent does the same.
  4. Every point should have a marker on it.
  5. Decide who will be the first player to move.
  6. Choose one of the 'guard' markers and move it to the centre of the star.
  7.  Then Keep doing it over and over moving markers to different spots until the you have blocked your foe/opponent so he/she wont move
Here are some Pictures & Video of how our session with this awesome game went down.

Cure Kids Foundation - Red Nose Day!!!!

Today we did an amazing donation to Cure Kids Foundation, to support and help Cure Kids to be safe and healthy.

Kelly Sports planned out 3 games for us to do in 10 minutes it was awesome and amazing.
The three games were Capture the Flag,Ball Hockey & Tag.

It was amazing and a fantastic experience.
During those game it was so great to see a lot of people enjoying the games and being able to socialize and build really good friendships with one and another.

Cure Kids is an amazing and helpful foundation supporting people who are sick and trying to find cures for the unknown curable sicknesses.

Here is a Little Summary from there Website about What there Backstory is -
Since Cure Kids was established by Rotary in 1971 as the Child Health Research Foundation, we have helped save and improve the lives of thousands of kids both here in New Zealand and around the world.
We have invested almost $40 million in research which has helped shape and change the way children who live with serious diseases and health conditions are diagnosed and treated.
The breadth of the work we support is wide; just some of the projects we have funded,or are currently funding, include childhood cancers, inherited heart conditions, cystic fibrosis, sudden unexpected death in infants (SUDI), stillbirth, burns, and child and adolescent mental health, among many others.

Cure Kids are the largest funder of child health research outside the government, and we are supporting the best science possible to make a difference to the health and well-being of children in New Zealand.
To be honest I had an amazing, fantastic, awesome & really exhausting day today and I can’t wait till Monday for Run,Jump,Throw practice.

Welcome Back

Nau Ma, hoki mai ki taku rangitaki!  Ko tenei te wahanga tuawha o te tau.  Kei te pehea to hararei?

This is the last term of the year, I am so looking forward to the trips that the teachers have planned for us.

This is my last year at Tamaki Primary & My Highlight was The Year 7 & 8 sleep over where we went to Polyfest and went to the pools.

I've changed so much throughout the 9 years at Tamaki Primary and I hope that i left the school with so much I've done positive & getting ready for college next year.

My Personal goal for the last term of the year is. participating in activities out of school and during school.

Hopefully I up my leadership skills and take responsibility.
